Barkow and Sonnemann families

Back of photo was marked "Wm. Barkow, April 13, 1930". Kneeling in front: Ruth Sonnemann, my mother. Far right: William Henry Sonnemann. Third from right: Emma (Korn) Sonnemann. Judging from the writing on the back, two of the others are probably William F. Barkow and his wife Ida Frances O. Meschke. Ida was William Sonnemann's first cousin. It seems a fair guess that the third couple are also Barkows -- possibly William Barkow's brother Frederick Carl Barkow and his wife Alvina. The birthdate of Frederick's son Herman is recorded in Ruth's birthday book, and her postcard collection includes a couple of cards from Alvina, so the Sonnemanns must have been friends with that branch of the Barkows too. (The third couple can't be John Phillip Barkow and his wife Augusta Johanna W. Meschke, Ida's sister, because Augusta died in 1922.)
